
Welcome to SARSAV K9
Search and Rescue Saskatchewan Association of Volunteer’s founded SARSAV K9 as a Committee under SARSAV executive in 2018. SARSAV K9 is chaired by a member of our board and is comprised of SARSAV members across Saskatchewan.
This committee works closely with AHJ’s – RCMP to develop a team of Certified SARSAV K9 handlers and dogs Validated to RCMP Civilian Volunteer Canine Standards SAR in Saskatchewan.
SARSAV is a not for profit, charity and all the activities of the SARSAV K9 Working Group.are funded by donations. Our teams supply their own training, dogs, equipment and commit many hours of time dedicated to on going training, volunteer GSAR work, professional development, skills practice, and certification and on going validation.
SARSAV does not charge for SAR services, and dispatch under and by authorities having jurisdiction. We do not self activate.
